Ms. Ginger Royce Strickland, age 68, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at the hospital on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. She was born on August 15, 1951, in Savannah, Georgia. She was a certified public accountant for thirty-three years and the owner of Strickland & Co., P.C. since 1994. Ginger was previously with Jackson Thornton & Co., for twelve years as an accounting manager. Ginger graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1984, and was the first female student to earn a 4.0 GPA in accounting in AUM history. Before becoming a CPA, she was a hairdresser. After finding her passion for accounting, there was nothing stopping her from pursuing her dream of owning her own firm. Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth D. McIntosh and Synthia Louise McIntosh.
Ginger is survived by one brother, Robert Joseph McIntosh and wife Connie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends her dedicated staff, Christine, Linda, and Lili, and her beloved dog Sassy.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, September 14th, at 11:00 a.m. in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Walter Jarrell officiating.
