Vidalia,
Mrs. Flo Sammons Davis, age 93, of Vidalia, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, in Fernandina Beach, Florida, after an extended illness. She was a native of Treutlen County, and lived in Vidalia most of her life. She retired as cafeteria manager after nineteen years at J.R. Trippe Middle School in Vidalia. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, the Embile Darby Sunday School Class and was an auxilian for nineteen years at Meadows Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Davis in 1990; parents, William Arthur Sammons and Zina Elizabeth Dickens Sammons; and ten siblings.
Mrs. Davis is survived by three children, Larry Davis and wife Betty of Yulee, Florida, Wayne Davis and wife Kathy of Vidalia, and Steve Davis and wife Suzanne of Lake Park; five grandchildren, Larry Dean Davis, Joseph Wayne Davis, Sandra Kimberly Barton, Joshua Davis and Brandy King; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 19th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Randy McDuffie officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
