Alston,
Mrs. Faye Calhoun Outler, age 80, of Alston, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, in The Oaks-Bethany in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Tarrytown and lived most of her life in Alston. She was the bookkeeper in the family business, the Alston Saw Shop, and was a member of Alston Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Joel Outler, Jr.; parents, Harvey Leonard Calhoun and Eliza Laseter Calhoun; one sister, Betty Calhoun Sowder; and one brother, Harvey L. Calhoun.
Mrs. Outler is survived by two sons, Chad Outler and wife Tonya of Savannah, and Chris Outler and wife Ronda of Alston; four grandchildren, Dustin, Brittany, Lindsay, and Cassie; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Aden Outler-Quintana and Ethan Alexander Outler-Quintana; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Doyle Waller officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
