Vidalia,
Mrs. Eva M. Clements, age 80, of Vidalia, died Thursday, February 14, 2019, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia. She was a native of Friedberg, Germany, and later met her late husband who was stationed in Germany. They were married in 1958, and tragically, in 1968, he was killed in Vietnam. She and her children moved to Toombs County in 1969. She was a homemaker and worked several years in her daughter’s business. She was preceded in death by her husband, U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Dawson Clements.
Mrs. Clements is survived by three children, Dennis Clements of Vidalia, James Clements and wife Sabrina of Cheraw, South Carolina, and Tammy Hardeman and husband “Tootsie” of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren, Chad Rowland, Josh Clements, Frederick “Pug” Clements, Lauren Boyd, Jonathan Clements, Bo Hardeman, and Christy Hardeman; and eight great-grandchildren, Talon, Ty, Amelia-Grace, Drake, Dawson, Conner, Brodie, and Bradden, and a great-grandson, Caleb, soon to be born.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 16th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Glen Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until just prior to the service.
