Mrs. Emilie Williamson Beall, age 90, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, December 17, 2019. She was born February 15, 1929 in Oak Park, moving to Dublin in 1947 and then Vidalia in 2000. While in Dublin, she worked at Claxton Hospital, J.P. Stevens and retired after thirty-eight years. She was a member of the Vidalia Baptist Temple in Vidalia and enjoyed gardening, quilting and baking cakes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt Williamson and Mary Lee Brantley Williamson; and seven siblings, Estol Williamson, Neva Fountain, Lila Mae Meeks, Leecy Williamson, Mildred Hall, Dorothy Wickstrom, and Bobby Joe Williamson.
Mrs. Beall is survived by four children, John Beall and wife Lou of Mt. Vernon, Ann Galletta and husband Eddie of Guyton, Emmitt Beall and wife Tish of Alpharetta, and Carolyn Abney and husband Jerry of Brooklet; one brother, Billy Williamson and wife Edith; one sister, Bonnie Coleman all of Vidalia; ten grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 21st, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Shady Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
