Vidalia,
Mrs. Eileen Gay Fulford, age 75, of Vidalia, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at her daughter’s home, after an extended illness. She was a native of Tattnall County and lived there and in Montgomery County most of her life, before moving to Vidalia six years ago. She worked with Royden Wear in Reidsville and Oxford Manufacturing for many years and was Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Fulford; parents, Allen Lee Gay and Eileen Bell Driggers Gay; and two brothers, Roger Gay and Johnell Gay.
Mrs. Fulford is survived by five children, Emmitt Fulford and wife Carol of Uvalda, Diane Ford and William of Lyons, Robin Stanfield and husband Jeff of Glennville, Allen Sharpe of Collins, and Dawn Fulford with fiancé Eric Carey of Vidalia; ten grandchildren, Chuck Fulford, Derrick Fulford, Dustin Fulford, Scott Ford, Christy Ammons, Amber Stanfield, Brenda Stanfield, Samantha Stanfield, Chance Powell, and Mikayla Powell; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 7th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Stanfield officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery near Alston.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
