Lyons,
Ms. Edwana Powell Jackson, age 76, of Lyons, died Thursday, January 24, 2019, in Meadows Health in Vidalia, after a sudden illness, She grew up in Augusta and Savannah, and was a 1961 graduate of Richmond Academy in Augusta. She moved to Toombs County in 1968, and was Activity Director at Precious Nursing Home and Toombs Nursing Home. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lyons, and was preceded in death by her former husband, M.I. Jackson, a granddaughter, Tabitha Page; and parents, M.C. Powell and Minnie Lee NeeSmith Powell.
Ms. Jackson is survived by three children, Pam Jackson Bishop of Lyons and Mark Bishop; Pat Jackson Dixon and husband Otha of Vidalia, and Beau Jackson and wife Kasey of Dublin; seven grandchildren, Amie Page Schaefer and husband Brad, Beth Benton, Jackson Warnock, Savannah Jackson, Brendan Jackson, Camden Jackson, and Abbie Bishop; and four great-grandchildren, Melody, Benton, Asher, and Braden.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 26th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Anderson and Roger NeeSmith officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
