Long Pond Community,

Mrs. Drucilla Goff Sanders, age 89, of Long Pond, died December 29, 2017, from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was a native of Montgomery County, grew up in Long Pond, and spent most of her life there. She was a homemaker. She attended Long Pond Baptist Church where she led the singing and taught Sunday school until her health began to fail and also attended Long Pond Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Christine McAllister Goff; one sister; two brothers; and one brother-in-law.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband, Ephriam Sanders; four children, Lynn Manning and husband Emmitt, Doye Sanders and wife Patricia, Steve Sanders and wife Velda, and Francis “Wormy” Sanders all of Long Pond; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Helen Lane of Sylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Long Pond Baptist Church with Reverend Arnie Raj and Reverend Joe Simon officiating.  Burial will follow in McAllister Family Cemetery near Long Pond.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
