Mrs. Dot Davis Hart, age 90, of the Providence Community, died Thursday, August 10, 2017, in The Oaks Bethany in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of the Providence Community, and lived there until moving to Vidalia twenty years ago where she attended the Higgston Baptist Church.  She was an active member on the Providence Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed fishing, and working in her yard.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eugene “Gene” Hart; parents, Samuel and Beatrice Davis; and two brothers, J.B. Davis and Charles Davis.

Mrs. Hart is survived by three children, Joyce Hart Tyson of Vidalia, Jan Beasley and husband Johnny of the Cedar Crossing Community, and Joey hart and wife Martha of the Ohoopee Community; seven grandchildren, Tracey Parker, Karen Ouzts, Patti Daniels, Julie Martin, Jamie Beasley, Brad Hart, and Justin Hart; twelve great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a special caregiver, Brenda Hurst.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 12th at 3:00 p.m. in the Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Providence Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
