Don Outler

Alston,

Mr. Don Outler, age 76, of Alston, died Thursday, August 9, 2018, in Glenwood Healthcare, after an extended illness.  He was a native of Montgomery County, and lived near Alston most of his life.  He was a lifelong farmer, and retired from the Montgomery County School System after thirty years as a bus driver.  He was a 1960 graduate of Montgomery County High School.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Aden Outler and Lucile Wimberly Couey Outler; and a brother, Joel Outler.

Mr. Outler is survived by his wife, Pat Fields Outler of Alston; two children, Terry Outler and wife Jan of Alston, and Tara Outler and wife Laura of Salem, Virginia; two sisters, Joyce Outler NeSmith of Claxton, and Mary Outler Rainwater and husband Claude of Villa Rica; one brother, Glen Outler and wife Karen of Vidalia; one granddaughter, Katey Elizabeth Outler of Statesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Reverend David Daus officiating.
