Dolores (Ivey) Lowe

Dolores Ivey Lowe, 82 of Lewisville, Texas, died on Monday, July 9, 2018.  She was born on August 8, 1935 in Augusta, and was the daughter of the late T. Winston Ivey and Olavee Clark Ivey.  Dolores attended the University of Georgia and Georgia Teachers College in Statesboro and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She practiced as a Registered Nurse in many areas of specialization with psychiatry being her favorite.  Dolores will be remembered for her love of Willie Nelson, Hershel Walker and her pets, baking for loved ones, incredible storytelling memory, and sending articles of interest to friends. Her husband, James Callaway Lowe, Jr., M.D. preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, James Callaway Lowe, III, daughter, Helen-Eve Lowe Liebman, and granddaughters Adleigh Jaye Liebman and Emory Ivey Liebman.

A celebration of her life was held on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell, Texas.

A graveside funeral service will follow on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.  The family requests wearing red, one of her favorite colors, to honor her life.
