Lyons,
Mrs. Deanna Williamson, age 80, of Lyons, died Thursday, July 25, 2019, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Harrison, Michigan and moved to Toombs County in 1972. She earned a Nursing Degree from Mercer University in Macon and was a registered nurse. Deanna nursed at Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia, now Meadows Health and at the Bethany Home, The Oaks-Bethany in Vidalia, all of her career. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and was of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Geron Williamson; parents, John and Hazel Hecker Reigle; three sisters, Virginia Lang, Miriam Bye and Pauline Hughes; and four brothers, Bruce Reigle, Burdette Reigle, Jerry Reigle and Charles Reigle.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by three children, Pamela Proctor and husband Tommy of Lyons, Valerie McCall of Vidalia, and Gregory C. Burcham and wife Laura of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren, Amanda Borlend and husband Richard of Lyons, Matthew Charles Burcham and wife Roda of Albany, and Mark Edward Burcham of Jacksonville; five great-grandchildren, Thomas, Collynn, Sofie, Aria and Zoey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, July 27th, at 3:00 p.m. in the Williamson Cemetery with Pastor Rusty Houser officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:30.
