Baxley,

Mr. David “Porky” Stallings, age 61, of Baxley, died Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Baxley and loved singing and playing guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Erma Stallings; two brothers, Terry Stallings and David M. Stallings; and one sister, Brannell “Susie” Turner.

Mr. Stallings is survived by one sister, Velma Ruth Stallings with Keilah Williams; three nieces, Emma Patterson and husband Eric, Angie Stallings with Colt Moser all of Baxley, and Audrey Meade of Reidsville; one nephew, Bobby Clack of Baxley; one son, Michael Shane Carey of Brunswick; and several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, November 18th at 4:30 p.m. at Friendship Congregation Christian Church in Baxley.
