Vidalia, Mr. David Lee Blount, age 66, of Vidalia, died Sunday, December 15, 2013  in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Vidalia, a 1966 graduate of Vidalia High School, and a 1969 graduate Augusta Tech. For twenty years, he was the owner/operator of Blount’s TV Service in Vidalia, and later was a field service representative for Convergent Media Systems in Vidalia. He was a member of the Smith Street Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Blount, Jr. and Kathryn Snider Blount; and a sister, Dale Blount.

Mr. Blount is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Jennifer Lee Blount; daughter, Becky Blount Smith; son, Chris Blount and wife Lindsey; three grandchildren, Nicole Smith, Harrison Blount, and Victoria Blount all of Vidalia; and several cousins.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 18th at 11:00 am in the Smith Street Baptist Church with Reverend Dewitt Corbin and Reverend Bill Vansant officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
