Vidalia,

Mr. Darwin Beasley, age 83, of Vidalia, died Friday, June 16, 2017, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Vidalia, and was a U.S. Army veteran.  In 1976, he founded Darwin Beasley Construction Company, and built numerous homes, and commercial and medical buildings.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia and the Caring and Sharing Sunday School Class.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Percey and Annie Horton Beasley. 

Mr. Beasley is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Mabeth Jackson Beasley of Vidalia; three children, Gwen Beasley Banks and husband Dennis of Lyons, Caroline Beasley Sharpe and husband John of Vidalia, and Clay Beasley and wife Elizabeth of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina; one brother, two sisters, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 19th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Moye, Clay Beasley, Dennis Banks, and John Sharpe officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
