Lyons,

Mr. Darrell T. “Papa” Copeland, age 55, of Lyons, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017, in the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, after a brief illness. He was born in Ware County, lived most of his life in Toombs County, and was a member of The Oaks Baptist Church in Lyons. He formerly worked at ASC Volvo in Savannah for eleven and a half years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Copeland.

Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Monette Copeland of Lyons; one daughter, Ashley Mock and husband Ronnie of Mt. Vernon; father, Thomas Copeland; one brother, Charlie Copeland both of Lyons; two grandchildren, Aryana and Zayne of Mt. Vernon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service will be held Friday, October 27th at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Ayers, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Sharpe Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
