Mr. Benny Daniel “Danny” Pittman, age 69, of Vidalia, died Friday, February 22, 2019, after an extended illness.  He was a native of Orlando, Florida, living there until moving to Lumpkin, Texas in 1979, and to Vidalia in 2017.  During his illness, he had been living with his cousin, Kathy Clark Knight and husband, Keith Knight until his death.  While in Lumpkin, he was a self-employed sheet rock hanger and finisher. Danny attended the Oasis Church of God in Lyons with his pastor and dear friend, Bishop Gilbert Wommack.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Laura Willis Pittman.

Mr. Pittman is survived by one son, Ryan Pittman and wife Ashley of Lumpkin; four brothers, Ronnie Pittman of North Carolina, David Pittman, Donnie Pittman, both of Orlando, and J.W. Pittman of Virginia; three sisters, Wanda Jean Clark of Vidalia, Christine Freeman of Orlando, and Linda Pittman of Connecticut; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 2nd at 3:00 p.m. in the Oasis Church of God with Bishop Gilbert Wommack officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oasis Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 1416, Lyons GA 30436.
