Lyons,

Mr. Danny Edwards, age 62, of Lyons, died Friday, June 23, 2017, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and lived in Lyons most of his life.  He was the owner of Edwards Concrete for several years, and was a crane operator for Operating Engineers Local #474 in Pooler.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Larkin “Big Boy” Edwards and Dorothy Flowers Edwards; and three siblings, Bo Edwards, Linda Grace Edwards, and Talley Edwards.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Diane McRae Edwards of Lyons; four sons, Michael Edwards and wife Dana of Rincon, Robert Edwards and Tiffany, Chris Edwards and wife Liz, and Jeffrey Edwards and wife Mandy, all of Lyons; four sisters, Georgia Dale Introcaso of Vidalia, Pat Watson and husband Laymon of Macon, Laura Fountain of Vidalia, and Marilyn Sikes of Collins; four brothers, James Edwards and wife Jeanette, Josh Edwards and wife Jill, Phillip Edwards and wife Linda, all of Lyons, and Leroy Edwards and wife Carol of Statesboro; thirteen grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 25th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Morrow officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
