Vidalia,

Christy Clements Thigpen, age 48, of Vidalia, died Thursday, December 7, 2017, in Treutlen County, from injuries received in an automobile accident.  She was born in Atlanta, and lived in Vidalia all of her life.  She was a 1988 graduate of Vidalia Comprehensive High School, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Georgia College in Milledgeville.  She worked in the medical field for more than twenty years, and currently was Office Manager for Jackson Law Firm in Dublin. 

Christy is survived by three children, Conner Thigpen, Carolina Thigpen, and Catherine Thigpen, all of Ailey; her parents, Charles and Nancy Clements of Vidalia; one brother, Slade Clements of Augusta; very special friend, Don Wingate of Vidalia; longtime friend, Natalie Williams of Vidalia; and two nieces, Sophya Grayce Clements and Anna Stanley.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Vidalia with Reverend Don Moye officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00.
