Mr. Charlie Reese, age 63, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, after a brief illness.  He was a native of Toombs County, and lived there all of his life.  He was a 1972 graduate of Lyons Senior High School, and was a U.S. Army veteran.  He worked at Harton Automotive in Vidalia for many years, and was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lee Reese and Dean Martin Reese; and a brother, Aubrey Reese.

Mr. Reese is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Debbie Still Reese; two children, Matt Reese and wife Jill of the Kibbee Community, and Kelly Rapp and Bryant White of Vidalia; two sisters, Janet Glisson of Bartow, Florida, and Peggy Tootle and husband Earnest of Reidsville; one brother, Bobby Reese of Reidsville; a son-in-law, Tracy Rapp of Glennville; six grandchildren, Mikayla Reese, Madison Reese, Mathew Reese and Jacob Reese, all of Kibbee, Harlie Rapp and Avery Rapp, both of Vidalia; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Tipton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
