Mrs. Cathy Wynn Bean, age 65, of Ailey, died Monday, September 30, 2019, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was born in Macon, living in Montgomery County most of life and was a 1973 graduate of Montgomery County High School. She was an x-ray technician and lab technician for Dr. Ravi Patel for more than twenty years and worked at Wheeler County Hospital in Glenwood for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert Wynn and Artie Faye Sellers Wynn; three sisters, Peggy McCoy, Etta Mae Argo and Trell Harrell; and two brothers, Rayford Thigpen and Eschol Thigpen.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Gary Bean of Ailey; two sons, Hugo Montenegro of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Joshua Bean and wife Erin of Tifton; two sisters, Dianne Galbreath and husband David of Vidalia, and Earline Bean of Ailey; four grandchildren, Lily Rogers, Mason Bean, Rhett Rogers and Maddox Bean; and several nieces and nephews, including a nephew, Jerry Anderson who was raised as a brother.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Durden officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30 until just prior to the service.
