Lyons,
Ms. Carolyn Bargeron Coleman, age 82, of Lyons, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019, in Meadows Health of Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Savannah, and lived in Lyons most of her life. She retired after twenty years from Thomas and Betts, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lyons. She enjoyed fishing, and playing cards and volleyball. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Flora Bell Williamson Bargeron, and thirteen brothers and sisters.
Ms. Coleman is survived by three children, Marilyn Coleman of Lyons, Paula Coleman Bell and husband Tim of Vidalia, and George P. Coleman and fiancé Darlene of Lyons; four grandchildren, Chris Bell and wife Heather of Vidalia, Matthew Bell and fiancé Dr. Hannah Norton of Vidalia, George Paul Coleman III of Lyons, and Preston Lee Coleman of Lyons; four great-grandchildren, Cason Bell, Gracie Bell, Autumn Coleman, and George Paul Coleman IV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23rd at 3:00 p.m. in the Lyons City Cemetery with Pastor Mike Palma officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 2:30 until just prior to the service.
