Bobby Joe Williamson

Mr. Bobby Joe Williamson, age 80, of Vidalia died Wednesday, October 16, 2019, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia.  He was born July 22, 1939 and was a native of Treutlen County, but lived most of his adult life in Vidalia.  He was a retired construction superintendent for McDonald Construction Company where he worked for forty-six years.  He was a member of Vidalia Baptist Temple where he served as a Trustee, and was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.  Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Dollie Brantley Williamson, and by six siblings, Estoll Williamson, Neva Fountain, Lila Mae Meeks, Leecy Williamson, Mildred Hall, and Dorothy Wickstrom.

Mr. Williamson is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Bonnie Ogburn Williamson, one daughter, Jane Davis and husband Monty; two sons, Jody Williamson and wife Tracey, and Jeffrey Williamson and wife Angelia, all of Vidalia; seven grandchildren, Jason Davis of Vidalia, Jamie Davis Freelin of Greenville, SC,  Jillian Davis, Brantley Williamson, Bradley Williamson, Baylee Williamson, and Kailee Williamson all of Vidalia; three siblings, Emilie Beall, Billy Williamson, and Bonnie Coleman all of Vidalia, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, October 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Daniel Gilliam, Reverend Jason Davis and John Beall officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Pallbearers will be Jason Davis, Brantley Williamson, Bradley Williamson, Jerry Moxley, Mason Freelin, and Jonathan Smith.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the Vidalia Baptist Temple Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
