Vidalia,
Mrs. Beverly Carter Driggers, age 71, of Vidalia, died Monday, April 9, 2018, in Rosewood Assisted Living in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Appling County, and lived there until moving to Toombs County in 1966. She was floor supervisor with Thomas and Betts for thirty years, and retired as line supervisor with U.S. Energy in Vidalia. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Driggers in 2015; her parents, James C. Carter and Frankie Lois Gurley Carter; one granddaughter, Stephanie Biddle; and six siblings.
Mrs. Driggers is survived by four children, Debbie Driggers of Augusta, Colette Higgins and husband Stacy of Baxley, Ronnie Driggers and wife Lisa of Augusta, and Melanie Everett and husband Steve of Alston; one brother, Jerome Carter of Metter; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 13th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Randy McDuffie officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
