Beth Tapley

Mrs. Beth Tapley, age 57, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida after a brief illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County and was a 1980 graduate of Lyons Senior High School.  She was the owner of Beth’s Florist in Vidalia and blessed countless people through her acts of kindness.  She attended Tabernacle Baptist Church.  Beth enjoyed yard work, spending time with her grandchildren, and planning birthday and other event celebrations.  She was preceded in death by her parents, M.B. and Mary Dell Gillis; a grandmother who raised her, Louise Lewis; and a brother, Mitchell Salters.

Beth is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Melvin Tapley; one son, Charles Tapley and wife Hillary; two grandchildren, Braylee and Chandler Tapley; four sisters, Marilyn Waters, Lawanna Salters, Cynthia Salters and Renee Nunn; two brothers, Chris Starr and Michael Salters; all of Vidalia; and her best friend and co-worker, Charlotte Helms.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 14th at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Thompson and Pastor Gary Roberson officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
