Mrs. Audrey “Peggy” Braddy McCall, age 86, of Kibbee Community, died Sunday, November 25, 2018, at her home, after a sudden illness. She was a native of Kibbee and graduated from Kibbee High School as well as Georgia Teachers College in Statesboro. Peggy was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon and the James Lawrence McCall Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence McCall; parents, Willie and Lucille Walker Braddy; and siblings, Emma Lee Hall, Edward Braddy, H.C. Braddy, Hyman Braddy, Wyman Braddy, James Braddy, Jeanette Braddy, and H.T. Braddy.
Mrs. McCall is survived by two sons, Willie “Bill” McCall and wife Ann of Cooper City, Florida and Larry McCall and wife Kathy of Mount Vernon; one daughter, Lucy Tison and husband Nick of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; one brother, Aubrey Braddy and wife Janet of Kibbee; one sister, Lucille Braddy Watson of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren, James McCall and wife Cynthia, Emily McCall, Angela Rogers and husband Houston, Nikki McDaniel and husband Mark, Hillary McConville and husband Adam, Thomas Tison and wife Emili, and Lisa Arrieta; ten great-grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, Hazel, to be born soon; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Wanda Braddy, that she loved as her own; and three special friends, Vanessa Braddy, Barbara Calhoun, and Lucy Jacobs.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 28th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Karl Hay and Reverend Ronnie McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Braddy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
