Vidalia,

Ashley Lynn Hutchins, age 31, of Vidalia, died Sunday, September 3, 2017, at her home after an extended illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and attended Montgomery County High School, Toombs County High School, and Southeastern Technical College.  She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and loved singing and playing the guitar. She enjoyed watching football and was an avid Peyton Manning fan.  She was preceded in death by her son, Peyton James Colson; maternal grandfather, Jack Smith and paternal grandfather, Leslie Hutchins.

Ashley is survived by her parents, Mike and Susan Hutchins of Vidalia; one sister, Wendy Leggett and husband Aaron of Augusta; one brother, Travis Hutchins and wife Laurie; maternal grandmother, Johnnie Fowler Smith all of Vidalia; paternal grandmothers, Ruth Connors and Lynn Hutchins both of Beaufort, South Carolina; her fiancé and the love of her life, James “Jamey” Colson of Vidalia; one niece, Bailey Hutchins; two nephews, Jackson Leggett and Bryson Leggett; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her two canine companions Marley and Bentley.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
