Anne Horne

Mrs. Anne Horne, age 83, of Vidalia, died Monday, December 31, 2019, in the Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Montgomery County and grew up in Higgston.  She was a graduate of Tarrytown High School.  Anne lived in Louisville and Augusta for many years and lived in Vidalia most of her life.  She attended the Higgston Baptist Church and Vidalia Baptist Temple.  She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Acy Guin; parents, Joseph Edgar “Jody” Horne and Mary Ann Riggs Horne; and three brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Horne is survived by six children, Blane Rollins of Vidalia, Steve Rollins and wife Michelle of Louisville, Andy Rollins of Vidalia, Brad Rollins and wife Diane of Evans, Mark Rollins and wife Debbie of Augusta, and Jay Rollins and wife Vicky of Culloden, one brother, Sydney Horne of St. Simons, Island; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, January 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. in the Tarrytown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 10:30 until just prior to the service.
