Alice Faye Humphrey, age 70, of Montgomery County, died Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was a native of Vidalia and was a 1967 graduate of Vidalia High School. She lived in Vidalia and Montgomery County all of her life, and she retired after twenty-seven as a correctional officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections at Montgomery State Prison. She was Baptist by faith and enjoyed sewing, cooking and feeding wildlife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph Brinson, Sr. and Stella Mae Blount Brinson; one sister, Ann Brinson; and two grandchildren, Hudson and Hayden Humphrey.
Ms. Humphrey is survived by two sons, Shannon Humphrey of Ailey and Jason Humphrey and wife Delana of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Rudolph Brinson, Jr. and wife Shirley of Vidalia, William Brinson of Baxley, and Jimmy Brinson of Vidalia; one sister, Cathy Jones and husband Danny of Toombs County; three grandchildren, Emma Humphrey, Dylan Bennett and Justin Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Friday, November 15th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
