Mrs. Joan Pittman Williamson, age 70 of Lyons, died Friday, March 2, 2012 in the Specialty Select Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness. She was a native of Toombs County and lived in Lyons most of her life. She was the secretary and former co-owner of Ideal Pharmacy in Lyons, and was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duke Williamson; her parents, Ben Hill Pittman and Emma Jo McRae Pittman and two brothers, Dill Pittman and “Pee Wee” Pittman.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by one daughter, Pam Williamson; one son, Chris Williamson; one sister, Gale Pittman Brewer all of Johnson’s Corner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5th at 3:00pm in the Rocky Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Black officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00.

Know that we are sorry for your loss. Joann was a special lady and will be miss. She is not suffering anymore and now is with Duke. They are taking care of each other. They are now our gurdian angels looking afte us all. Know that you are allin our prayers and thoughts and we are as close as the phone if there is anything we can do
