Vidalia,

Mrs. Vonelle T. Joyner, age 80, of Vidalia, died Friday, July 15, 2016 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Oak Park and a graduate of Vidalia High School. She and her late husband were the owners of Bill’s Donut and Bake Shop in Vidalia. She was a member of Vidalia Church of God for more than fifty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Joyner, Sr. in 2005; her parents, Leonard Albert Turner and Nora Mae Logan Turner; and four siblings, Alida Mae Logan and husband Kydle, Lula Mae Adams and husband Homer, Arthur Turner and wife Nola, and Willie Doc Turner and wife Mamie.

Mrs. Joyner is survived by two children, Cheryl Morgan and husband Shawn of Lyons, and Bill Joyner, Jr. of Vidalia; one brother, Robert Turner of Florida; one sister, Ellen Pitts and husband R.B. of Swainsboro; seven grandchildren. Cynthia Akins of Lyons, Becky James and husband Bill of Vidalia, Michael Hipps of Arlington, Massachusetts, Joseph Joyner and wife Tasha, Daniel Morgan all of Vidalia, Melissa Joyner of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Denise Carey and husband Eli of Lyons; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 17th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Irvin Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening 6:00 until 8:00.
