Mr. Victor Lynn Smith, age 55, of Swainsboro, died Friday, December 15, 2017, in Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons, after an extended illness.  He was born in Port Lavaca, Texas, grew up in Louisiana, was a graduate of Rockdale County High School, and has lived in Emanuel County since 1980.  He was a truck driver most of his life, and served six years in the Army National Guard.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Needham and Peggy Smith, a brother, Artie Blackwell; and a sister, Georgia Lynn Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by three daughters, Nicole Smith of Conyers, Stacy Smith Kersey and husband Adam of Kite, and Jessica Smith and Mike Burkett of Swainsboro; one sister, Kathy Robertson of Jackson; three brothers, Needham Smith, Jr. of Abilene, Texas, Glenn Smith of Jackson, and Randy Smith and wife Missy of Orangeburg, South Carolina, and seven grandchildren.
