Mt. Vernon,

Mr. Vernon Harrell, age 73, of Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at his home, after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Montgomery County, and lived there and Toombs County all of his life.  He retired after eighteen years from Robin Builders in Lyons.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Harrell and Lottie Jane Patrick Harrell; and a grandson, Daniel Harrell.

Mr. Harrell is survived by one son, Ricky A. Harrell and wife Vivian of the Kibbee Community; three sisters, Tammy Nelson of Vidalia, Patricia Myers of Dublin, and Juanita Causey of Calhoun; one brother, Ray Harrell and wife Angela of Hazlehurst; two grandchildren, Lesley Harrell of Albany, and Christopher L. Horton and wife Amy of Ailey; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, December 16th at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery.
