Lyons,

Mrs. Thelma Collins, age 82, of Lyons, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, in Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness.  She was a native of Cobbtown and lived there until moving to Lyons in 1949.  She retired  from Oxford Industries after thirty years of service and was a member of Marietta Freewill Baptist Church in the Blue Ridge Community for the past sixty-nine years.  She was preceded in death by her husband Hilbern Collins; son, Ronnie Collins; parents, William and Mary Etta Hendrix Collins; and was the last of thirteen siblings.

Mrs. Collins is survived by one son, Robert Collins and wife Barbara; two daughters, Helen Brumley and Ann Rowland; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Collins, all of Lyons; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, March 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Irvin Murphy and Pastor Ken Murphy officiating.  Burial will follow in Old Mount Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
