Vidalia,

Mrs. Shirley Norfleet, age 59, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in her home after a sudden illness. She was a native of Soperton and lived most of her life in Toombs County. She was a home maker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her flowers. She was preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Beulah Strickland.

Mrs. Norfleet is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Bobby Norfleet of Vidalia; two sons, Mitchell Norfleet and wife Wendy of Dalton, and Derrell Norfleet and wife Cassie of Lyons; four sisters, Claudette Fraser and husband Al of Vidalia, Donna Lynn Thigpen and husband Eugene of Rockledge, Jackie Kight and husband Eddie of Soperton, and Diane Lewis of DeLand, Florida; three brothers, Buddy Strickland and wife Dell of Vidalia, Roger Strickland of Nogales, Arizona, and Steve Strickland and wife Gaye of Soperton; seven grandchildren, Joshua Norfleet, Ethan Norfleet, Alexis Hendrix, Cason Thigpen, Alyssa Norfleet, Isaiah Norfleet, and Emma Norfleet.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 29th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Gibbs and Pastor Michael Plowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosemont Baptist Church Cemetery in Treutlen County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
