Cedar Crossing,

Sadie Virginia Willis, age 83, of the Cedar Crossing Community, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, in the Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Toombs County, and lived in Cedar Crossing most of her life.  She retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation, and was a member of Bethel-The Church of God in Cedar Crossing.  She enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Miller and Sadie Hudson Willis; three grandsons, Christopher Aaron Walker, Donnie Malphrus, Jr., and Matthew Malphrus; and eight brothers and sisters. 

Ms. Willis is survived by four children, Aaron Walker, Jr. and wife Ellen, Alvin Dwain Walker and wife Linda Louise, all of Ellabell, Linda Kay Walker Summerlin and husband Eddie of Savannah, and Donnie Eddie Malphrus and wife Corinda of Hinesville; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, December 29th at 11:00 a.m. in Bethel-The Church of God with Reverend Melvin Kramer, Pastor Angela Abraham officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cedar Crossing Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00.
