Vidalia,

Mr. Royce Carlton “Roy” Bryant, age 57, of Vidalia, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at his home after an extended illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and was a 1975 graduate of Vidalia High School.  He was the owner/operator of Royce Bryant Trucking Company, employed with Hunt Transportation for several years, and most recently with Gay Oil Company.  He was a member of the Higgston Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his father, Carl M. Bryant.

Roy is survived by one son, Royce D. “Dusty” Bryant and wife Lynn of Pearson; his mother, Jackie H. Bryant of Vidalia; four siblings, Barbara Bryant Yerkes and husband Kent of Bel-Air, Maryland, Pam Pepin and husband Glenn of Swainsboro, Frank Bryant and wife Donna of Higgston, and Tim Bryant and wife Denise of Phenix City, Alabama; two grandchildren, Royce Sage Bryant and Wynter Bryant of Pearson; two aunts, several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Sheila James.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
