Lyons,

Mr. Ronnie Collins, age 65, of Lyons, died Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, after a brief illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and was a supervisor for W.J. Akins and Sons and was with the company for forty years.  He was a member of the Cornerstone Church in the Blue Ridge Community, and was a member of the Toombs County Fire Department.  He was preceded in death by his father, Hilbern Collins.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Debbie Collins; three children, Belinda Denmark and husband Emmett, Darriel Collins, and Jemma Collins; step-son, Chris Foskey and wife Stefanie; his mother, Thelma Collins; one brother, Robert Collins and wife Barbara; two sisters, Helen Brumley and Ann Rowland; sister-in-law, Elaine Widner and husband Dale; three grandchildren, Logan Darriel Collins, Katie Jean Denmark, and Ronald Emmett Denmark, all of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 15th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie Hodges officiating.  Burial will follow in the Old Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00.
