Lyons,

Mr. Robert Burton, age 65, of Lyons, died Thursday, February, 26, 2015 in Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons after an extended illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Lyons and was a log truck driver with Rayburn Beasley Trucking.  He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Louise Burton and Brantley William Burton; brother, Dick Burton; and sister, Diane Horne.

Mr. Burton is survived by three sons, Dewayne Burton and wife Sharon of Vidalia, Tracey Burton of Brunswick, and Jonathan Burton of Lyons; two daughters, Jackie Huggins Owens of Savannah and Malisa Burton of Lyons; eleven siblings, Kenny Burton and wife Sherri, Herbert Burton and wife Cindy, Bobbie Flowers all of Lyons, Lamar Burton and wife Tamara of Tampa, Florida, Ronnie Burton and wife Laura of Powder Springs, Danny Burton and wife Michelle of Valdosta, Faye Hutto, Florence Fountain and husband Gene all of Vidalia, Benita Lollis of Vidalia, and Elaine Vinson and Carolyn Geiger of Forsyth; three grandchildren, Magan Edwards and husband Sammy, Sammy Burton, and Macenzie Burton all of Lyons, two great-grandchildren, Ansleigh Edwards and Auston Edward of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Baptist Church in Santa Claus with Pastor Andy Williams officiating.
