Reba (Gray) Powell

Mrs. Reba Gray Powell, age 75, of Lyons, died Friday, March 16, 2018, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of the Gray’s Landing Community, and was a 1960 graduate of Toombs Central High School.  She has lived in Lyons since 1962, and retired from Oxford Industries after forty years.  She was a member of the Ohoopee Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Powell; and parents, Rabon and Frankie Joiner Gray.

Mrs. Powell is survived by two children, Renee Powell Flowers of Lyons, and Robby Powell and wife Lindy of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Betty Jean Outler and husband Jimmy of Alston; one brother, Ernie Gray and wife Sarah of Alston; five grandchildren, Makayla Flowers, Dilan Flowers, Ray Hardy, Courtney Hardy, and Chelsea Hardy; three great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Winston Powell of Glenwood; one sister-in-law, Jerris Blount of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Dupree and Reverend Bruce Conner officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
