Vidalia,

Mr. Randall Samples, age 63, of Vidalia, died Monday, February 13, 2017 in Treutlen Health and Rehabilitation in Soperton, after an extended illness.  He was a native of Augusta, and lived most of his life there before moving to Vidalia in 2010.  He retired from West Tenn Rock Company in Augusta, and was a member of the Fleming Christian Church in Augusta.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand Samples and Carolyn Dixon Samples Alewine.

Mr. Samples is survived by two sisters, Jane Kirk and husband Keith of Gadsden, Alabama, and Ellen Morris and husband Mike of Higgston; one brother, Paul Samples of Augusta; three nieces, Amanda Morris of Macon, Ashley Powell and husband Wesley of Soperton, and Kellie Kirk of Gadsden; two great-nephews, one great-niece, and several cousins.

The graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the Ferguson Cemetery with Reverend Allen Rea officiating.
