Mrs. Myra Tootle Brantley, age 79, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Glenwood, and a graduate of Glenwood High School. She moved to Vidalia in the mid 1950’s, was a homemaker, a charter member of the Grace United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Brantley, Sr. in 1987.
Mrs. Brantley is survived by two children, Al Brantley and wife Linda of the Normantown Community, and Lori Brantley Wingate of Vidalia; three sisters, Inez Waters of Barnesville, Bobbie Nell Allen of Vidalia, and Clara Guin of Glenwood; three grandchildren, Tracey Brantley Stewart of Dublin, Meg Brantley Calhoun of Normantown, and Summer Brantley Wingate of Vidalia; three great-grandchildren, Grant, Valley, and Ava; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, February 27th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne McDaniel and Reverend Bill Vansant officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
