Mrs. Morrine Davis Caraway, age 78, of the Normantown Community, died Monday, October 9, 2017, in the Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, after a brief illness.  She was born in Tarrytown, grew up in Brunswick, and has lived in Toombs County since 1955.  She was food service manager at J.D. Dickerson Primary School for more than twenty years.  She was a member of Calvary Way Church in Lyons.  She enjoyed southern gospel music, camping and going to the mountains.  She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, D.F. Caraway; a daughter, Charlotte Caraway; parents, Albert and Lois Beasley Davis; and eight siblings.

Mrs. Caraway is survived by four children, Luther Caraway and wife Sandra, Debbie Caraway Williamson and husband Mark, Donna Caraway Maltby and husband Mikel, all of Normantown, and Charlene Caraway Jackson and husband Ralph of Wrightsville; one brother, Jimmy Paul Davis, Sr. and wife Monte of Jesup; three sisters, Lois Gillis and husband Gary of Vidalia, Viola Fuller of Enigma, and Margie Branham and husband Calvin of Eulonia; one sister-in-law, Mary Ethel Murray of the New Branch Community; one brother-in-law, Elemer Caraway and wife JoAnn of Vidalia; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Elemer Caraway officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The pallbearers will be Daniel Caraway, Donovan Murray, Michael Caraway, Timmy Caraway, Jimmy Davis, Jr., Kevin Lane, Andy Caraway, Adam Caraway, and Terry Caraway.

Flowers will be accepted, or those desiring may make memorial contributions to Calvary Way, 545 NW Broad St., Lyons GA 30436.
