Mrs. Minnie Dean Mobley Mixon, age 86, of the Center Community, died Monday, April 25, 2016 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and lived in Center most of her life.  She was the training supervisor at Oxford Industries for eighteen years, and was a homemaker and caregiver.  She was a charter member of the Faith Baptist Church and the Ladies Prayer Group.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lamar Mixon; an infant daughter Dean; parents Bill and Lennie Mobley; and two brothers Buford Mobley and wife Ruby, and Willis Mobley.

Mrs. Mixon is survived by one son, Preston Mixon and wife Jane; three grandchildren, Kristy Campbell and Lavon, Bubba Mixon and wife Karmen, and Kelly Campbell and husband Scott; nine great-grandchildren, Madison Hart, Baylee Mixon, Adam Dees, Reece Mixon, Justin Dees,  Amily Mixon, Lucas Campbell, Catie-Jane Campbell, and Preslee Campbell, all of Center; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Baptist Church with Reverend Homer Aspray and Pastor Andy Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
