McNatt Falls Community,

Mr. Mike Benton, age 58, of McNatt Falls Community, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Meadows Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was a native of Toombs County and lived most of his life in the Cedar Crossing Community. He was a 1975 graduate of Toombs Central High School and a member of Cedar Crossing Baptist Church. He was committed to God, his church, and was a prayer warrior. He was preceded in death by father, Henry Grady “Cowboy” Benton.

Mr. Benton is survived by his mother, Naomi Smith Manders of McNatt Falls; two brothers, Grady Benton of Monroeville, New Jersey, and Robert Manders and wife Cindel of Cedar Crossing Community; and one nephew, Brice Bentley Manders.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20th at 11:00 am in Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Pastor Reece Mincey and Mr. Darrell Harn officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
