Mrs. Melody Starr Williams Taylor Ayala, age 57, of Lyons, died Sunday, March 26, 2017, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after an extended illness. She was a native of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and lived in Toombs County most of her life. She was a store re-setter for Foot Prints, and was Baptist by faith.
Mrs. Ayala is survived by two sons, Luis Antonio Ayala and Michael Taylor and wife Heather, all of Lyons; a special friend, Ramiro Hurtado; her parents, Catherine and Thomas Williams of Vidalia; three sisters, April Enriquez and husband Martin, Violet Escoe, and Tuesday Calistro and husband Salvador, all of Lyons; two brothers, Tommy Williams and wife Susan of Collins, and Robert “Pop” Williams and wife Donna of Lyons; five grandchildren, Brittany Taylor, Destiny Taylor, Jaden Taylor, Layla Howell, and Lynzie Dasher, all of Lyons; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Chambers and Riley Hower; several nieces, nephews, and family friends, including a special family friend, Jesse Talco.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with her brother, Pastor Tommy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mt. Zion Cemetery.
