Funeral services for Mary Anna Cunningham, 65, of Aiken, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Aiken Christian Church, 300 Old Whiskey Road, New Ellenton, SC, 29809. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.  Officiating will be Pastor Keith Ussery.  Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. at Ohoopee Community Cemetery in Lyons.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Cunningham passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016.  Born in Opelika, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie A. Stripling and Juette Phillips Stripling Copeland.  She was the former owner of Mary’s Flowers and Gifts and Necessary Arrangements and was a member of Aiken Christian Church.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela L. Bryant; grandson, Joshua A. Messer; step-father, Jim Copeland and her mother-in-law, Doris Cunningham.

Survivors include her loving husband of 26 years, Pat Cunningham of Aiken; daughters, Rhonda Marie Bryant Thibault (Keith) of Winchester, TN and Heather Rene Barron of Aiken; a sister, Judy Marie Adams (Michael) of Lyons, Georgia; a brother, Lonnie Cecil Stripling (Diane) of Lyons, Georgia; grandchildren, Dalton Gregory Johnson and Addison Emma Owen;  brother-in-laws, David James Cunningham of Columbia and Michael A. Cunningham of Jackson; a step brother, James Copeland of Lyons, Georgia; a step-granddaughter, Mary Louise Nivies of St. Petersburg, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
