Mrs. Mary Lockley Davis, age 86, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in The Oaks Bethany in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Lyons, a 1946 graduate of Lyons High School, and lived in Vidalia most of her life.  She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Myles Preston “Buddy” Lockley and Doris Pecola Kersey Lockley; one sister, Johnnie Lockley Davis; and three brothers, Millard, Milton, and James Lockley.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two children, Marcia Davis Barfield of Vidalia, and James W. “Jimmy” Davis of Pine Mountain; one sister, Margie Lockley Davis of Vidalia; one brother, Julian Lockley and wife Betty of the Normantown Community; five grandchildren, Jessica Barfield, Stacie Barfield, Misty Davis Shepherd, Jamey Davis, Jr., and Jason Davis; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 14th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Burrell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
