Lyons,

Mrs. Mary E. Horton Craft, age 84, of Lyons, died Friday, June 12, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness.  She was born in Soperton and lived most of her life in Lyons.  She was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Craft; daughter, Denise Peebles; parents, A.G. Horton and Dessie Carter Horton; and brother, Ray Horton.

Mrs. Craft is survived by one son, Darryl Craft and wife Dianne of Lyons; seven grandchildren, Celia Marie Winghart and husband Donnie of Key Stone Heights, Florida, Jimmy Garrett and wife Sarah of Japan, Kris Craft and wife Cori of King’s Bay, Kaleb Craft of Savannah, Donna Williams and husband Robert of Lyons, Alan Colson, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, James Colson and Ashley of Lyons; one sister, Glenda Porter and husband Jimmy of Nashville; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Moseley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, June 14th from 3:00 until 5:00 and then one hour prior to the service on the following Saturday.
