Ailey,

Mrs. Mary Hughes Clark, age 74, of Ailey, died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her home, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Emanuel County, and has lived in Montgomery County since 1958.  She was a homemaker, and was a member of the McGregor Presbyterian Church.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alton Morris; a son, Thomas Alton Morris; a brother, Earl Hughes; parents, Jessie and Evalee Johnson Hughes; a sister, Pat Willis; and a son-in-law, Lonnie Michael Adams.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Larry H. Clark of Ailey; three children, Brenda Morris Adams of McRae, Tina Clark Williamson and husband Paul of Vidalia, and Gina Clark Thigpen and husband Danny of the Kibbee Community, eight grandchildren, Joshua Poole, Zack Morris, Jacob Poole, Whitley Ledford and husband Wil, Nicki Morris, Katie Williamson, Danielle Thigpen, and Georgia Shay Williamson; two great-grandchildren; nine sisters, Jessie Moore, Bonnie Leslie, Clyde Tanner, Essie Mae Harville, Peggy Price, Martha Jo Henry, Joyce Ray, Jenny Usher, Connie Sheffield, Emory Love, and Doshia Burnham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 21st at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne McDaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in the McCrimmon Cemetery near Higgston.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
